Network Code Production Types

The following production types are classified as Network Code for purposes of reporting to the SAG-AFTRA Health Plan:  

  • Television productions covered under the SAG-AFTRA National Code of Fair Practice for Network Television Broadcasting Agreement
  • Basic Cable Non-Dramatic
  • Made for New Media productions covered under the SAG-AFTRA National Code of Fair Practice for Network Television Broadcasting Agreement

When using the Contributions Manager, please select Network Code as the agreement and identify the appropriate agreement subtype when submitting earnings.

For productions prior to January 1, 2011, please refer to the collective bargaining agreement that was in effect at the time principal photography occurred for the individual production.

SAG-AFTRA Producers Industry Advancement and Cooperative Fund (IACF) Contributions

IACF contributions are due on all initial compensation payments for television productions, except on productions made for new media under the Network Code and for all Background Actors effective 1/1/2019. For residual compensation, IACF contributions are not due for percentage-based residuals.

Network Code Contribution Ceilings

Contributions are due on all compensation paid to each performer up to the applicable ceilings. Ceilings are dependent on the program and performance category being reported on.
