COVID-19 is a respiratory disease caused by a new virus (SARS-CoV-2) that can be transmitted from person to person.

In a short period of time, COVID-19 has become a global concern at the forefront of all our minds. We understand the uncertainty our participants may be feeling, and as your health plan, we want to assure you that your safety and health are our top priority.

Our dedicated team is closely monitoring the situation and has taken proactive measures to enable our staff to continue working through these events remotely, to protect their health and continue serving the needs of our participants.

Virtual Office Visits for Medical Health (Temporary Expansion in Coverage)
Some medical physicians and specialists who typically see patients in person are now offering virtual office visits online and over the phone. The Health Plan is providing coverage in these cases, during this state of emergency. Current cost-sharing, including applicable deductibles, copays, coinsurance and allowances will apply, except for COVID-19 testing as provided above. You also have access to virtual visits through your existing LiveHealth Online benefit.

Virtual Office Visits for Behavioral Health (Temporary Expansion in Coverage)

MDLive is a telehealth service used by Beacon Health. This service, along with virtual office visits will be made available during the national COVID-19 emergency to maintain care for those who would typically need to visit a provider in person. Current cost-sharing, including applicable deductibles, copays, coinsurance and allowances will apply.

Update from Express Scripts

Our pharmacy benefits manager, Express Scripts, is actively monitoring the prescription drug supply globally to continue fulfilling the prescription needs of our participants. For additional information about prescriptions, visit

Medical Providers and Hospitals

As our medical providers and hospitals prepare to accommodate a potential rise in patients related to the outbreak, we want to remind participants of our LiveHealth option for remote doctor visits (for non-emergency situations). Learn more.

No Cost Sharing for In-Network COVID-19 Testing

As your health plan partner, we care about your safety and have elected to provide coverage for testing at no cost sharing to our participants. Learn more.

Reception Area Closure
