We are pleased to announce that starting January 1, 2021, CVS Caremark replaced Express Scripts as the Plan’s pharmacy benefit manager. Your prescription drug deductibles and copays will remain the same, except for specialty medications which will be part of a new program that reduces cost to both you and the Plan. You will also have access to CVS Caremark’s tools, clinical programs and their network of over 68,000 retail pharmacies (including well-known pharmacies like Walgreens, Duane Reade and Rite Aid).
If you have not done so already, make sure you pay your SAG-AFTRA Health Plan premium due January 1, 2021. You will not receive your new ID cards until your premium is processed.
IMPORTANT Note for Retirees and Senior Performers
If you’re moving into the new Via Benefits program, be sure to discuss your current prescription drug needs with a benefit advisor. They can help you determine the steps you need to take to transition your current Express Scripts prescriptions to the plan(s) you select through the Via Benefits Medicare Marketplace.
