Divorce

  • A copy of the recorded final divorce decree must be submitted to the Plan within 60 days in order to qualify for the special enrollment opportunity and for dependents or your former spouse to be eligible for COBRA.
  • In the event of a divorce, medical expenses incurred by your spouse or stepchild who no longer qualifies as your dependent on or after the date of the divorce are not covered by the Plan. You and your ex-spouse will be held jointly and severally liable for any overpayment of expenses paid by the Plan from the date of divorce.
